Security System
Security system includes two easy-to-use super-heterodyne remote controls. If desired, up to four remotes can be programmed to a single vehicle. Red L.E.D. indicator offers visual confirmation of operation and battery condition. Unlock button: press once and only driver`s door unlocks for safety. Press twice and all doors unlock. Parking lights flash twice when vehicle is unlocked. Panic button alarm activates when button is pressed and held. Lock button locks all doors and arms security system from up to 50 feet away. Parking lights flash once when depressed for verification that doors are locked and alarm is set. Option button allows arming and disarming of the system silently or with an audible honk of the horn. Also unlocks the glass hatch for easy cargo loading even when the system is armed. Fully integrated wiring harness is manufactured exclusively for your CR-V. Engine starter cut off prevents engine from starting when system is activated. Glass breakage detector triggers alarm if any glass is broken. Door and hatch sensors (hood sensor optional) trigger system if any of these points of entry are opened. Anti-scanning code R.O.M. receiver would take up to 24 years of scanning to break code. Diagnostic system checks system every time you arm it. Door ajar warning: if any door or the glass hatch is not closed properly, horn will sound three times and the system will not arm. System status verification confirms system is armed by flashing parking lights and briefly sounding horn. Passive operation: if selected, automatically arms system and locks doors 20 seconds after the last door is closed. Valet/disarm switch deactivates the system when desired. Flashing red L.E.D. is mounted on the steering column in clear view to warn that the system is armed. Produces a "chirp" for arm/disarm. Optional hood sensor triggers alarm if the hood is opened which adds even more protection. Keyless entry required for installation on LX models.
